Electric Guitar

An electric guitar uses what are known as pickups which convert the vibration of its steel or nickel strings into an electrical current. This is then made louder with an electric amplifier and a speaker or speakers. The electronic signal that comes from the guitar is sometimes altered with guitar effects ranging from distortion to delay. Most electric guitars have six strings.
